The Latest Treasures We Have Found

I wish I had more time right now to be doing regular posting here, but my days seem to have been filled up with trying to sort through all the contents of the house we have bought in Prince Rupert.

Every day I sort through items, putting some in the dumpster, setting others aside for the local Thrift Store and moving any items we want to keep off to the side. Here’s a few pictures of the latest treasures I found on the daily Treasure Hunt.

These three pots were tucked away up high on a shelf and they were covered in dust. Who knows how long they have sat there without being used? I cleaned them up and like them so much, I thought they needed to be on display.

There is a LOT of wood in our kitchen, too much for my liking. So I removed two of the cabinet doors and will have to find some wood filler to hide the holes left by the hinges. Here is where I displayed the bean pots…

That kitchen window also had full curtains on it, as well as a valance of curtain. I didn’t even know there were blinds hanging there! I like it a lot better like this – I may end up hanging a lace valance there, but I am not sure yet.

Hi Kari, yes we will be in Prince Rupert for a good part of 2013. Any gardening done here this year will likely be in containers. There is room for a small inground veggie garden. It’s been a very busy time for us. Graham’s working long hours and I am trying to get the new place cleaned out and fixed up. Having a lot of fun, I love this kind of thing!
